Montreal Roofers Inc. offers new installation and replacement of existing ancestral vented skylights. Many of the older buildings in the city of Montreal were built to include ancestral vented skylights. These pyramid shaped glass skylights were mounted onto flat roofed buildings and provided not only extra light, but as well extra ventilation. As building products progressed, there was less of a need to add these skylights to roofs, as proper ventilation was now available. Often these skylights were installed over bathrooms, kitchens and stairwells. Although some buildings have upgraded their ventilation, many of the older buildings still require the ventilation of an ancestral vented skylight. For those with proper ventilation installed, we can offer replacement with a more energy efficient solution, either flat glass skylight or acrylic dome skylight.
